At Gorse Covert Primary School, we are committed to building a greener, fairer future for our children and our planet. Through education, action, and community involvement, we aim to become a school that not only understands its environmental impact, but actively works to reduce it.
Our vision is to create a school where climate responsibility is part of everyday learning, choices and behaviours - where children are empowered as environmental stewards, staff lead by example, and families are engaged in creating lasting change.
We will achieve this by:
- Embedding climate education across our curriculum
- Making our school grounds a living, breathing example of biodiversity and sustainability
- Encouraging every member of our community to take action – from reducing energy use to reconnecting with nature,
- And proudly sharing our journey as we grow into a school that leads with integrity, innovation and hope.
Together, we are nurturing a generation who will not only understand the challenges of climate change — but will feel confident and equipped to make a difference.
