Special Education Needs and Disability (SEND)

Vision Statement for SEND at Gorse Covert Primary School
At Gorse Covert, we are dedicated to fostering an inclusive educational environment where every child can thrive, regardless of their starting point. Our skilled staff are committed to supporting children with special educational needs through a personalised curriculum that promotes growth and success for all learners.
We take pride in the unique contributions of each and every child at Gorse Covert, ensuring that each and every child feels a valued member of our school family and is able to participate in all aspects of school life. Together, we cultivate a nurturing environment where diversity is valued, and every child’s journey is supported. We are also proud recipients of the "Committed to Inclusion" award.
In addition to our excellent mainstream SEND provision, we offer two designated provision classes specifically for children with an Autism diagnosis. For additional details about our designated provision, click here.
